I continue to advise people that when they are planning an outdoor event, that they need to have a solid back up plan that can be implemented at a moment's notice. It is a pretty well known fact that storms or rain can come in on any given afternoon around 4-6 pm in the summer months many times with very little clue beforehand.
In addition it is a great idea to have a comfortable solution for older guests. It is our experience that parents and grandparents as well as older relatives are not very tolerant of the high temperatures of summer time and they seem to prefer indoor seating arrangements as much as possible.
These are just some observations that have been made over the past several years.
